The blog has been created as a forum for people to discuss issues and questions arising from a short dramatic film made in Guelph by Christine Zorn and her associates.
Holding in the Storm: My Life with Autism was inspired by members of the Bridges-Over-Barriers communication group with whom Christine made a documentary film In Our Own Words published on DVD with an accompanying book of the same title in 2010. Bridges communicators gave permission with their words to be used in the script for the new dramatic film.
Production of the film was supported by Guelph Services for the Autistic, the charitable not-for-profit that also support Bridges-Over-Barriers. In our search for funding, we were asked how we would respond to questions and comments that people would have on viewing the film.
In response, we composed a Discussion Guide to accompany DVD copies of the film. We also created this blog.
You may enter questions and comments about the film itself on the Home Page.
Or you may address questions and comments to us or to other viewers on specific pages:
